Melt Quartet Jordan Roger Tinct

Jordan Rodger is a musician and artist operating under the pseudonym Melt. Tinct will be performed for the first time by the quartet featuring Advait Thakur (clarinet), Angus McGrath (drums) and John Binos (piano). An improvised response to graphic scores, composed by Rodger, the abstract notation serves as a catalyst for sonic material. Interested in the connection between audio and visual representation, Rodger’s score extends the standard ‘free’ approach to improvisation and provides stimulus for the collective to interact with one another, the audience and the gallery space.
